The park is set around a Listed Victorian manor house in 200 acres of gardens and woodland exhibiting a wide variety of animals in landscape surroundings plus tropical house, bat house, reptile house, insect house, gift shops, adventure playground, brass rubbing centre, bar and restaurant. There is also a narrow-gauge railway and landscaped picnicking areas.
